Big MAC Savings: “Recycle: BACK-TO-MAC”

AS THE ICONIC IRIS APFEL STATED, “WHEN WE WERE SMALL CHILDREN WE ALL PLAYED DRESS-UP AND EVERYBODY HAD A GOOD TIME. SO WHY STOP NOW?” Same goes for makeup. Have fun. Take chances. Go wild. You aren’t naming your first born for gosh sakes! PLAY PRETEND. After all, we’re all just one// okay, two // Make-up Remover Wipes away from reality…

//Recycling.// We all know we should do it, + in all honesty, most people I know do make a conscious effort to do what they can to reduce their Carbon Footprint. I hope the same goes for you Fabs as well. But what in the hell does ‘recycling ♻’ have to do with the bold, bright, neutral, or matted $17.00 M·A·C  Lipsticks pictured above? Well, guess what? You can recycle makeup too, + this doesn’t mean putting your empty  beauty container into the large green bin instead of the black one. M·A·C Cosmetics, one of the top three beauty brands in the entire world, has been putting on  a program called Back-to-M·A·C  for ages. Kudos to for giving us the deets found ↓

“Because we share your commitment to the environment, M·A·C accepts returns of its primary packaging through the Back-to-M·A·C Program. By returning six [6] M·A·C primary packaging containers to a M·A·C counter or M·A·C Cosmetics online, you’ll receive a free M·A·C lipstick of your choice as our thanks to you. Please note, Lipsticks provided at no charge cannot be returned or exchanged. M·A·C Select Back-to-M·A·C Expanded is only available in stores at this time.”

I first heard of the Back-to-M·A·C Program at age fifteen. All I knew was if you save some containers you get free makeup. That is all. While doing zero research yet keeping every single $15.00 PRRR Lipglass [+/or]  Oyster Girl Lipglass from that point on I figured what’s there to lose by saving some extra empty tubes? That’s over a decade of collecting, My Fabs; I repeat a decade of throwing my empty Lipglass containers into a freezer sized ZipLock “just in case” there was some truth to what my friend had casually mentioned; which very well could have been a total rumor. Many don’t know a thing about this BACK-TO-MAC Program, others do, but even the ones that do often forget about it. Well, that’s why I’m here: to either fill you in on the ultimate free beauty gift or refresh your memory. Myself included. So over a decade later of collecting, I stumbled upon my Lipglass-less containers. Miss Siri was then kind enough to look this up for me + BOOM..this ‘Urban Legend‘ is, in fact, no ‘Legend‘ at all. It’s the “Real. Lippin. Deal.’

“The Lipsticks that you are able to choose from are from their “Classic Collection,” M·A·C currently has over 127 shades, so don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything just because we can’t choose from a “Special Edition or Collection” they just added. Free is free, and we should all be happy as can be!”

Now that we’ve reinforced the real reason why we should be making an effort to reduce our Carbon Footprints, don’t we all feel so much prettier? // So we learned this My Fabs, RECYCLING = PRETTIER PUCKERS.√ // Also we need to remember, we must never judge a Lipstick by its color.

P.S. Fabs, I need your help! After a decade, I currently have 14 empty containers, which means TWO free MAC Lipsticks of OUR choice. //T-4 until my THIRD! // But before I get too far ahead, what two colors do I want?!  Check out the twelve selections below, and let me know which shade I need! Please comment below + help your girl out!

  1. It’s such a great program that goes under the radar. $17.00 for a lipstick isn’t exactly the ultimate bargain so if you can save up some empty MAC makeup containers, which take up little room, why not pick your favorite shade out of 127 for free?! I’m really into darker tones right now, which is pretty anti-spring, but I feel like the lighter corals, pinks, and neutrals wash me out. I love UP THE AMP-a purple hue that I would not believe if someone told me I would be wearing that during any average day 2+ years ago. TWIG is also universally flattering as well. For some reason, it looks great on everyone. I suggest everyone purchase Viva Glam ( I like Viva Glam II) and layer one swipe of KINDA SEXY to make it less brown and give a bit
more dimension! Those are definitely my personal faves, but always looking for more input!

  2. Ahaa, its pleasant dialogue regarding this post here at this weblog, I
have read all that, so at this time me also commenting here.

  3. These are really impressive ideas in concerning blogging.
You have touched some pleasant things here. Any way keep up wrinting.

  4. This is my favorite feature about MAC. I have been recycling my eye shadows and lipsticks for years…and still, somehow manage to always have a collection of empty containers. I think mostly because I can never decide which new shade of lipstick I want to try next. Love it! What is your favorite MAC lipstick color?
