FINDING YOUR INNER STREET STYLE. //

“Street Style. “// Let’s be real, I’m not a model, but nothing is better than faking it till you’re making it, am I right? These shots were taken in The Mission District of San Francisco, and the murals dispersed throughout the streets are simply enough to take your breath away. My amazingly talented cousin, Willow, was generous enough to snap aIMG_1987 few pics of me PRO-BONO. (What a gem, huh?) In exchange for these gorgeous snaps, Willow now has some extra shots to add to her stunning. portfolio. Be sure to check it out by clicking on her name above. Plus, I get to share them with My Fabs! TALK ABOUT A BARGAIN!

This jumpsuit pictured above was purchased from a BEBE Outlet StIMG_1993ore in Folsom, CA., for a grand total of $39.99// originally $169.00, thank you very much! Click the link to find the closest Bebe Outlet Store near year you! As you can see, it’s way too short for me. So what do I do? CUFF, IT. BABY! A simple cuff can turn your jumpsuit, pants, or denim from too long  to casually cute, or too short to, “They were meant to look like this, OBVI.” Especially when paired with some sandals, flats, wedges, heels, or a good bootie. (No pun intended…)

I know, I know. // “Less is more,” which I do agree with. Coco Chanel, herself, is famous for her style advice, “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance.” Don’t get me wrong, I completely see where our gal CoCo is coming from, but I believe there are a plethora of exemptions to this rule. To put quite simply, I tend to be a “More is more kinda gal” if you know what I’m sayin’. That being said, there is most definitely a time, and a place, where simplicity is the best, and “Less is more” does in fact, reign supreme.

IMG_1977For one, Monochromatic Outfits. These solid, one-color, sleek looks are so chic, particularly when it comes to sporting more neutral tones. The trick is to throw in a splash of color. Where do you ask?  (I would say anywhere, but that would be inappropriate.) You want to add in a bold, bright, fun color in a minimal way. (“Less is more,” remember?) Try adding a colorful accessory: a necklace, bracelet, or pair of earrings, or swipe on a bright red, burgundy, dark pink, light pink, or even, purple lip.

♦ Repeat after me ♦

“Never, ever, be afraid to throw in a bold, beautiful, strong, yet feminine color as an accessory to your one shade palette.”

This burgundy wide-brim Fedora Hat and glamorous red Revlon: Ultra HD Gladiolus Lipstick was just what the Dr. ordered to complete this all-black monochromatic rompin’ look.

So remember Fabs: be timeless, be bold, be urban chic. //
